Darla Desiderio is and artist and children's book author. 

 

She is an American artist creating mixed media works. Her expressionist style is an intuitive process born from a tireless impulse to create. Her work has a cohesive theme of self-expression through the creation of abstract subjects.  Using vibrant colors, and form to communicate her point-of-view visually. In her unique way of positioning elements and color on canvas she encourages people to journey into their deepest emotions. “Success for me is when my work transcends culture to connect without words.”

Darla grew up amongst the majestic mountains of Bernardsville, New Jersey, surrounded by nature, and now resides in Arkansas, The Natural State.

 

Darla has penned a children’s book series, the Gage the Flying Whippet series, books written for children age’s seven to ten. Her works include Gage the Flying Whippet (Book One), The Scrapper (Book Two), and to be published in 2021, The Swan (Book Three), and the Gage the Flying Whippet Coloring Zine.
